America's pony car never stops improving, always receiving the latest technology and engineering excellence to delight customers. For 2013, the Ford Mustang V6 and GT receive updated exterior design touches, performance enhancements and new technology such as a 4.2-inch LCD productivity screen to monitor vehicle performance. Updated audio systems and new lighting features also make an appearance.

1. New wheels

A revamped wheel lineup, ranging from the standard 17-inch wheels for

V6 all the way up to 19-inch optional wheels on the GT, offers updated designs and

finishes.

2. Rocker panels

Painted body-color for a premium appearance.

3. Mirrors with pony projection light

The unique lamp casts the shape of the Mustang emblem on the ground when the

unlock button is hit. Mirrors also are heated for 2013.

4. Upgraded Shaker audio systems

For improved clarity and sound crispness, two new audio systems debut. The optional

Shaker system comes with eight speakers and pumps out 370 watts of power. The

upgraded Shaker Pro offers nine speakers, delivers 550 watts of power and features a

slimmer subwoofer.

5: 4.2-inch color LCD productivity

screen Located in the instrument cluster between the speedometer and tachometer,

the screen allows drivers to access information related to vehicle performance. navigate

through the menu with a five-way button on the steering wheel. in addition to the basics

like fuel economy and trip meter, gauge mode provides information on vehicle functions like

oil temperature, air/fuel ratio and cylinder head temperature. Track Apps allows for instant

measuring of g forces and acceleration times, and displays braking performance.

6. Front end A more powerful

design features a significantly more prominent grille, a dominant splitter

and functional heat extractors on the  hood of the Mustang GT.

7. HID headlamps

Standard, classexclusive on both V6 and GT.

8. LED foglamps

standard on GT  (excluding California Special).

9. GT Track Package Available only on manual GT Mustangs with a 3.73 axle,

the new package gives track enthusiasts an engine oil cooler, upgraded radiator,

performance friction brake pads and the same Torsen differential that's on the

Mustang Boss 302.

10. SelectShift^TM

Automatic transmission. This advanced transmission control strategy offers

the driver a choice between fully automatic  operation and manual control, activated with a

selector button on the side of the shifter.

11. Rear end new bodycolor fascia, dramatic LeD taillamps with smoked

lenses, and gloss black appliqué bring it all together.

12. Signature lighting With two individual light-emitting diode (LeD) bars in the headlamp assembly illuminating the road.

13. Recaro seats.

Designed to enhance the high-performance driving experience, the optional recaro® seats are available in both cloth or leathertrimmed on V6 and GT.

14. Hill start assist.

Debuting on manually equipped Mustangs, the feature helps keep the car from rolling backward, making it easier to pull away when on a slope or hill.
